Turgut Alp was an important friend of Ertugrul, a brave warrior, and a leader. He was famous for his strength and his axe was known to be the strongest in the world. Turgut Alp was a well-known warrior in the Ottoman Empire and was also listed as one of the Ottoman Empire's Ghazis. He had only one son named Ilyas Bey, and there is a mosque named after him in Turkey.

When Ertugrul died, Turgut Alp supported Ertugrul's son, Osman Ghazi, who became the founder of the Ottoman Empire. Turgut Alp was with Osman in his first conquest and all his other conquests after that. After Osman died, Turgut Alp supported his son, Orhan Ghazi, and was his trusted advisor. He was the leader of the Alps during Ertugrul's, Osman's, and Orhan's lives.

Turgut Alp was so important that even five hundred years after his death, a city was named after him in the Ottoman Empire. The new city was called "Turgutalp" and was suggested by the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. It is now located in Turkey and is known for agriculture.

Turgut Alp died at the age of 125 in a battle. He was buried in Turgutalp village, district Inegol, Turkey. In the TV series, ‘Dirilis Ertugrul,’ Cengiz Coskun played the character of Turgut Alp. It is expected that he will also appear in ‘Kurulus Osman’ TV series.
